Remember Worms anyone? Well Last Wings has that similar style but not turn based and more chaos added due to a few issues but still kinda neat. You start with a basic plane and a few equips to use or to help out but later as you level up better items and a few new planes unlock for your enjoyment and the level system is pretty fair unlike the A.I. in the game. Vertice did a good job considering this is their first game but controls are needed to get use to as planes are hard to steer and at first dying will be natural but once you start you can't stop (really you can't as matches are back to back).
This is the perfect party game though which Vita doesn't have much of but not sure if it can play on PSTV because some wording is pretty small. Now about the A.I. they will gang up on you quicker than people waiting on a flash sale and more like crowds on black friday and that is when it gets hard to hit targets. You do have a speed that goes from faster to going down but if you want to trick oppenets, it ani't happening. luckly there is an arrow indicater to show you where they are with a color system and red means get ready now. You have missles but no lock on feature which hurts but using the machine gun is just as fun.
You also have a meter for weapons as also your life but I think weapon enegry drains to quick and recharges too slow for this type of game. If you have friends it is perfect though also could make to be a good drinking game. It does include decent amount of modes like team attack and base attack which are endless as like I said are pretty much back to back matches. If you can handle the controls and play the tutorial, there is fun to be had but could use a few tweaks to the game.
Score 7.0 out of 10
+ Quick loading and seamless gameplay
Decent amount of custom options.
Neat level design
- Weapon enegry drains too quick
Could have had power ups added
Controls are awkward
