Ok I said it in my Japan preview that I LOVE this game and now launching worldwide I STILL love this game. There's a lot missing from the international version but it still retains the formula. We all know All The Bravest was the biggest crap fest dumped on us FF fans but this is a big step up. You get a small handful of realms with updates coming in game weekly or bi-weekly hopefully in the coming months to add more characters.
Story: you are Tyro intrusted by Dr. Mog to clean up the darkness of the different stories of Final Fantasy past with the aid of different characters like job characters like warrior, bard and dragoon and famous characters like Cloud and Tidus in their rightful era. What's great is you get to relive all the famous parts of the story in 16 bit form. Also helping is Cid who is your inventory guru with combining weapons and gear and creating abilities to help your journey.
]Gameplay: Classic ATB style from past games make this a true FF game and it's very gracious in it's F2P ways with gear the only thing that's random. Characters are earned after completing dungeons and event dungeons. Daily dungeons give you something each day like growth eggs for leveling members or orbs for crafting spells. Bosses are found at the end and often show movement like FF7's Guard Scorpion or FF5's Mist Dragon.
Sound: the heart of the game and really shines. If you are in the FF6 dungeons you will hear famous FF6 songs and etc for each one you visit. Even the opening is very nostalgic with the classic chimes. It's just awesome to listen to even the newer ones in 16 bit form.
Replay Value- this will last you a long time one due to stamina crystals you get after completing dungeons and after 5 or 6 of them your stamina bar fills up adding a extra stamina plus it takes just 2 minutes to refill. A daily login keeps you coming back with it's currency of Mythril coming every 5th day and also after completing daily and other type dungeons. The only downside I see is that I wish they retain classic story pictures and not remake pictures (classic FF6 all the way). Hopefully the spin offs will come too as the FF4 trilogy was a great story was FF12 and it's sequel.
Should you download?: if you like Final Fantasy then YES. It's a FF fan's dream with the music and fanfare that's in the game and more to come later. In Japan you can play FF8,9,3 and 12 and seeing the areas is pretty neat. This is the best free FF game on mobile so far and it's great to play and offers a challenge with elite dungeons if you think you can handle it.
