Well it's that time of the year when people opened gifts and got the new gadgets. I happen to be a Vita owner and wanted to share a must buy list with a quick rundown of why you should and just know numbers don't matter as it's not a top # list. So let's begin:
HyperDimension Series: Any game of the series you should own if are an RPG fan. A story that doesn't take itself serious but offers alot of bang for your buck. Blackheart game offers a SRPG style which is new and refreshing while U offers a Dyantasy Warriors gameplay which has you battling over 100 enemies on screen. Lots of DLC as well for added content.
Broken Age: I love stories in games and P&C style games have always offered just that. DoubleFine is a great indie team showcasing what they do best: great gameplay and characters to like/hate so well. This is a two part game that really ends quiet well and is a great must buy with the art style. Plus Jack Black I mean come on.
The Walking Dead Season 1: Telltale the masters of storytelling struck gold with this gem. Centered around with one of the best cast of characters to grace a game. If this doesn't make you feel anything at the end then you are a zombie. Season 2 was ok but one was where it was just awesome.
Minecraft: A game about building and creating worlds. Vita version is just as good as the PC counterpart. Lots of DLC for character skins and themes and offers hours and hours of gameplay.
Persona 4 Golden: Often held as a true remaster this PS2 version got alot of new content and some new voice cast. Easy to get into but hard to masterand offers multiple playthroughs. The music alone is worth the cost.
Bastion: A story within a story is the best way to describe Bastion. Narrator is the best part about the game along with the style of this action RPG.
Stick It To The Man: This Rocko's Moderen Life style and humor does very well for the game. A great style of gameplay as well with you not just controling your character but what is on his head. The art style is just neat to see and music is trippy.
Futuridium EP Deluxe: Part StarFox part puzzler and 100% acid trip. This funky game is even better on consoles though I do like it on mobile as well. You keep unlocking things as you play so what's not to like?
Velocity 2X: This game gives Sonic a run for his rings. Speed is the game but also is platforming which is a game changer since Ultra didn't have that. Also has some DLC for extra levels plus a soundtrack (which is rare).
Race The Sun: You are as the name implies, racing the sun since darkness is your enemy. It is also like Starfox but without shooting. This is a "just one more run" kind of game and which means you will play for hours without noticing.
Shovel Knight: What is there not to say about this retro game? It has Kratos, mixes Mario and Ducktales together along with Mega Man and offers not one but 2 games for one price with the extra game feeling completly new.
SuperBeat Xonic: Music lovers will want this game. Lots to unlock and great trippy music and visuals. Just when you think you can't be beat then try World Tour mode and then cry.
Injustice Gods Among Us: DC fan and love fighting games. There has been hints at a sequel for months but what makes this great is you can be Scorpion and beat Batman. Online still works and it's fun going against some people.
Playstation All Stars: Wasn't going to include this but for it's asking price and loads of DLC what is not to like? Though not having Crash or Spyro hurts as well has having Big Daddy which doesn't make sense but still. Online is active and is still enjoyable.
I could go on but that is just a quick rundown of what to own for the new owners or ones who have yet to buy these titles. Hope you enjoy and happy new year.
