what do you get when you take critters, timed levels and Donkey Kong barrel blasting fun? why Super Blast Deluxe of course and it is quiet fun with a few issues but overall it has alot going for it. first you are an imp and imps hate light so it's only natural to have timed levels and they also love chilli peppers that are gold. After starting the game I remember it was on iOS and it seemed like quick fun at the time and now I get more time with it and I don't remember a hub world or an endless stage and the shiny graphics thanks to well done lighting. After you start playing the game for a few levels you might say "where is the challenge?" don't worry it's there and maybe creeps in to quick. You get not only regular barrels but some that can move, you can move and some that are on a moving device. The enemies aren't really what you need to worry about but dying is the worst because it takes a good amount of seconds to start back and just get use to dying.
Another hazardous thing to watch for is spiked walls and those come pretty frequently. when you're not blasting the imp or collecting the three golden chilli peppers per level there is the hub world that has a store. The store has a place to upgrade your special moves and you can select different critters with different abilities. When in the hub that is when the lag happens mostly when it just starts but it does seem graphic heavy. the stages are about ten levels each and each one is a theme and they are done well. There is a reason for the imps doing what they do. A voice calls to the imps saying humans are bored with the night and making exsplosions and noise is what will make the night better which is mostly the whole story so while cheesy, it does work with the game.
The way to get levels to be unlocked is how good you scored per level and how many stars you end up collecting with the last ones needing about 25 stars and you can get 3 stars on each level. If you move the right analog stick you can do stunts which increases the score at the end of the level and dying of course you lose points. Another issue is sometimes with the aiming barrel you move around in, can be quiet hard to aim in though you get use to it after awhile so not a big issue. If anything I wish the game had a movable camera while dealing with akward shots in barrels for better planning. If you are a puzzle fan I would say get this if you love challenges.
Score 8.0 Out Of 10
+ Barrel blasting fun
+ Lots of levels
- Challenge creeps in to quick
